Friendly staff, accessible area for buses, walking distance to supermarkets and shops, great for walking along promenade or waterfront, great value for money, nice location near rocky pools.
Can't think of anything.

Central location; near to airport. Reasonable price. Clean.
No parking, and advertised as free parking nearby (misleading).

Staff were nice
The ac was terrible, non existant, I had to request an additional ac unit, for an additional price, the thing didn't work. Not only that, the unit required the Patio door to be slightly opened which brought all the Mosquito's in to the room. I have lived in the Middle East for over ten years, and I have never perspired as much as I did in the Astra Hotel

The hotel has a prime location, situated in a convenient area with supermarkets nearby and offering access to the entire island. It is right on the harbor, providing beautiful views for some rooms. the staff is polite and friendly, and the rooms are clean and equipped with fans for added comfort.
Some staff members have displayed a lack of professionalism and customer service skills, causing inconvenience and frustration.

Rate
Absence of the air conditionner in sweltering heat and no access to the telphone due to the hotel blocking telephone cards from the outside. Mind you the receoption did not have their hotel telephone cards to sell either.

Th staff were great and very flexible. Friendly. Room was basic, but clean. GR8 value for money
when booking online it stated that they had parking, but apon arrival they did not. We managed to find a park in a side street, so it was fine.

I recently had a great stay at a hotel in Sliema. The rooms were clean and spacious, offering a wonderful view of the sea. The staff were helpful and pleasant, ensuring a comfortable stay. Additionally, the hotel provided a delicious breakfast, making it excellent value for money.
No negatives, everything was great!

The room was very nice and clean. We had a great view of the sea. Quiet.
The staff all seemed to be new and unsure of policies and information. The breakfast was adequate, but not terribly impressive. The coffee/hot chocolate machine was not working for 2 days that we were there. We ate breakfast here every day because it was convenient and we are not morning people. I am sure you could find a better value for the 5 Euros lots of other places.

Great value for your money. Good location, friendly staff and a clean, spacious room. Don't expect luxury. Close to shopping and dining areas.
No cafe open before 7am if you want a coffee or snack in the morning.

This hotel is a hidden gem on the Sliema waterfront. The value for money is exceptional, offering affordable prices for a beachfront location. The attention to detail is impressive, with basic amenities provided and rooms that boast a fantastic view of the open sea. The staff are friendly and provide excellent service, making you feel welcome throughout your stay. Plus, the breakfast included is a great way to start your day.
Everything was great and exceeded my expectations.

The staff were really friendly, the rooms were lovely and clean and the location was great for exploring Malta as it is a walk away from St Julians and Paceville where there are lovely restaurants and bars and it is 5 minutes from the cruises to the beautiful islands of Gozo and Comino and 2 minutes from buses taking you anywhere on the island. We got the room for a really good price and were not at all disappointed - it had everything you need and was quiet at night.
It would have been nice if the hotel had a pool but it wasn't really an issue as there is a big lido opposite the hotel on the seafront and more if you walk along for a bit so we didn't feel we missed out.

Upgraded to the seaview room without an additional charge
We requested twin beds to be moved together at the time of booking, but it was ignored. No overnight reception at the Astra hotel, needed to address a neighbour partner hotel for the room key after 23.45.

Great value for money! The room had beautiful views of the sea and was quite clean. The staff was friendly and helpful, and the location was perfect for exploring the city. We were able to easily walk to nearby cafes and restaurants and the public transportation stop was just a few steps away.
The room was quite hot as there was no air conditioning. , the shower was quite small and could be difficult to use for larger guests.

apart from 1 staff member i found the other 4 staff members we dealt with full of local knowledge and very willing to help us out with any questions we had on varoius topics ,the rooms were very spacious and the fan in the room made the inside temperature perfect as it was so hot outside, the showers were a great pressure too, price was excellent value for money
walls were paper thin so any noise in the wee hours of the morning was easily heard not a major though

Really good location on seafront, close to bus stops and central.
Layout of room - toilet and handbasin in different parts of room and door to toilet had frosted glass that was see through. No pool
